Indian director Karan Johar promises more chatty Bollywood actors on his TV show

Indian director Karan Johar says he will invite more fun-loving, talkative Bollywood movie stars to his successful talk show when it resumes later this month.

Johar drew Bollywood’s big names such as Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta during the show’s first season, and it was a huge hit when it ended in May last year.

Johar’s Bollywood credits include “Kabhi Alvida Na Kahna,’’ or “Never Say Goodbye,’’ “Kabhi Khushi, Kabhi Gham’’ or “Sometimes Happiness, Sometimes Sadness,’’ and “Kal Ho Na Ho’’ or “Whether Tomorrow Comes or Not.’’India’s Hindi film industry is known as Bollywood as it is based in Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay.
